David regularly advises clients on a broad range of transactions including acquiring and disposing of commercial, industrial and residential developments, retail shopping centres and hotels, development and subdivision projects. David also has extensive experience  incorporating joint venture arrangements, community titles schemes development and sales and all aspects of commercial, industrial and retail leasing.

With over 30 years of delivering legal services in the real estate industry throughout Australia, David has led teams acting for private and institutional developers, fund managers, property trusts and government owned corporations in a wide variety of property related industries.

From boutique residential developments to CBD commercial office towers to the privatisation of government infrastructure assets, David’s technical expertise and breadth of experience are unrivalled and he has delivered many positive outcomes for his clients.

Experience

David’s recent matters include:

  • major hotel acquisition, including transfer of liquor licence and new gaming machine licence;
  • acting for a major hotel chain in the construction and leasing of a multi-storey hotel development site;
  • CBD Commercial office tower disposal for multinational investor/developer including the finalisation of protracted footbridge lease rights before settlement ($200 million);
  • acquisition, subdivision and sale of major flat land site, Sunshine Coast involving the resolution of significant easement and neighbouring land issues; and
  • acquisition, development and off plan sales for 150 unit residential tower ensuring timely application and progress for development funding.
